Proverbs 3:5-6 — What Does It Mean?

What kind of book is Proverbs?
Proverbs is framed as practical wisdom passed from a father to a son (Proverbs 1:8) — short, memorable instructions for everyday decisions, not systematic theology. What does it actually mean?
